Do not panic DP World Tour fans, we haven’t created a new tournament.
Rather, the Danish Golf Championship is the new title of the formerly known Made in Himmerland event, played in Denmark.
Rasmus Hojgaard lifted the trophy on home soil last year, becoming the first Danish player to win the tournament in its ten-year history.
The inaugural edition was played in 2014 at the HimmerLand Golf & Spa Resort, in Farsø, and stayed there through 2017.
It was most notably remembered for the par-3 16th in 2015, when it was the shortest on the DP World Tour, measuring a mere 79 yards in the final round.
The event has moved to Aarhus this year, however, with Lübker Golf Resort taking centre stage. And it will welcome a strong Danish challenge, as Nicolai Hojgaard joins his brother in the lineup.
Thomas Bjorn, Thorbjorn Olesen and Jacob Skov Olesen bolster the contingent, with a blend of youth and experience.

Bernd Wiesberger 16/1
The Austrian has been trending towards a DP World Tour win this season, having finished outside the top 25 in just one of his last eight starts. He has a class edge on this field and as a two-time winner of this event, is poised to bag a hat-trick.
