The pro shop at Deer Park Golf and Country Club in Livingston has been hit by burglars.

According to a post on the club’s Facebook page, the shop was broken into on the night of Thursday, August 29.

Amongst the products stolen were Titleist GT drivers, Titleist GT fairway woods and two European Ryder Cup tour bags.

Iain Stoddart, the PGA professional and Director of Golf at Deer Park, has called on the public to help.

“If anyone has any information that could be useful to the police investigation, please let me know,” Stoddart wrote on Facebook.

A pair of Facebook users described the theft as “shocking,” while another commented: “Low life’s that do that.”

It’s not the first time the popular Scottish track has been targeted, either. In 2021, two men broke into the golf club, stealing alcohol and electronic goods.

That incident happened at around 3am on Tuesday, February 2, when police officers were called to a report of a break in.

The 18-hole championship course at Deer Park is described as one of the top golf courses in the Lothians.

bunkered has contacted Deer Park for comment.
