The DP World Tour has announced its ‘Opening Swing’ for the 2025 season and fans can expect a couple of changes.
It features five tournaments in the southern hemisphere, kicking off with the BMW Australian PGA Championship at Royal Queensland Golf Club in Brisbane from November 21-24.
The event – won by Min Woo Lee in 2023 – is the first of two consecutive tournaments that are co-sanctioned with the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia.
One week later, the ISPS Handa Australian Open will tee off at Kingston Heath Golf Club and Victoria Golf Club in Melbourne from November 28-December 1.

South Africa will host the next two events, starting with the return of the Nedbank Golf Challenge at Gary Player Country Club in Sun City from December 5-8.
The swing will conclude with a pair of co-sanctioned Sunshine Tour events from December 12-15 and December 19-22.
The Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek Country Club is the second in South Africa before the Tour heads to Mauritius for the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open at Mont Choisy Le Golf.
For 2025, the Opening Swing will feature one less tournament than for its debut in the 2024 season, when six tournaments were contested.

The Joburg Open and Investec South African Open Championship – both held in South Africa – were opposite events to Australia’s pair of marquee tournaments.
LIV Golf star Dean Burmester went back-to-back, winning both events.
Whilst they have been replaced in the ‘Opening Swing’ for 2025, the DP World Tour has confirmed that they will feature later in the season.
A spokesperson told bunkered that both events will be part of the Tour’s full season schedule when it is released in its entirety later in the year.
