Even the best players in the world get frustrated by golf from time to time.
Just ask Eddie Pepperell.
The world No.33 – a two-time winner on the European Tour – had a week to forget at the US PGA Championship… and it sounds like he’s figured out the perfect way to do just that.
Pepperell, 28, had rounds of 76 and 75 around the notorious Black Course at Bethpage to finish on 11-over-par and comfortably miss the cut.
The salt in the wound? He didn’t make a single birdie.
After his round, the Englishman reflected on his week’s work in the second men’s major of the year as only he can.
36 holes without making a birdie. Don’t think I’ll be going the next 36 hours without pouring a drink.— Eddie Pepperell (@PepperellEddie) May 17, 2019
Just another reason why Pepperell is one of the best golfers to follow on Twitter.
