English punter bets HUGE sum on Rory winning Masters

Rory Mc Ilroy

As if Rory McIlroy wasn’t under enough pressure to win The Masters this week!

The Northern Irishman knows that victory at Augusta National will see him become just the sixth player in history to complete the career grand slam.

However, that’s not all that is at stake – he could also make one English punter over £107,000 richer!

According to Ladbrokes, a Rory fan walked into one of their Southampton branches and threw down a whopping £40,000 in total - £20,000 each-way - on the 29-year-old winning the Green Jacket.

At odds of 7/1, the unnamed punter stands to pocket £107,500 should Rory – who has finished inside the top ten at Augusta each of the last five years – seal the deal.
