A former PGA Tour pro has confirmed that he will be a part of LIV Golf for the upcoming season, albeit with a twist.
Ollie Schniederjans, 31, was the world No.1 amateur when he earned his PGA Tour card in 2016 before losing it three years later.
Since then, the American has plied his trade on the Korn Ferry Tour, finishing 100th in the circuit’s season-long points list last year.
But he made his intentions of moving to LIV clear shortly after, when being named in the field for the Promotions event in Saudi Arabia in December.

While Schniederjans missed out on the sole spot in the final round, he has now been granted the career switch.
“Gearing up for 2025 and excited for the great opportunity to be a LIV Golf reserve player and to play the Asian Tour International Series this year,” he wrote on X.
It means Schniederjans will play regularly around the world on the Asian Tour, whilst being given the chance to step in for LIV players at any time.
He has replaced New Zealand’s Ben Campbell in the unique role after bunkered.co.uk learned that Bubba Watson signed him to RangeGoats GC.
Campbell made three appearances on LIV throughout the season, as well as winning the International Series Morocco – one of the Asian Tour’s elevated events.
That will now be Schniederjans’ priority; however, he can also secure a place on LIV via the International Series order of Merit.
The winner of the season-long race receives a LIV exemption for the following season.

Schniederjans, meanwhile, hinted at a future on the circuit when falling just short in Riyadh at the end of last year.
“Yeah, I’m very confident about where everything is heading,” he said, “but I had to hit a lot of cool putts and shots under pressure, so it was really nice to see that.
“It did give me even more confidence. But I have a lot of confidence in my future.”
