Just like that, the Genesis Championship marks the final regular season event of the DP World Tour season.

Held at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea in Incheon, South Korea, the tournament is set to take place for only the second time.

Pablo Larrazabal won the inaugural edition in 2023, setting the tournament record at 12-under-par.

However, it’s a little more confusing than that. The Genesis Championship has run on the KPGA since 2017, while the DP World Tour’s event was the Korea Championship.

But as part of their strategic alliance, the events merged. So, Larrazabal and Sanghyun Park will, essentially, both return as defending champions.

Home fans, meanwhile, will have a couple of huge names to cheer on. Both Tom Kim and Byeong Hun An will lineup this year.

The bunkered Bet

The German opened with a pair of 68s to hold the halfway lead here last year before dropping back over the weekend. But it showed his capabilities at the venue and came after a strong run of results. While Paul missed the cut at Sotogrande last week, he’s contested the last ten consecutive events, so missing the weekend in Spain could help recharge the batteries.
