There will be a familiar sight to American golf fans at the Genesis Scottish Open next week.
The Renaissance Club event, co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour, will feature its own version of the famous par-3 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale.
Of course, it’s home of the Waste Management Phoenix Open, which annually draws a huge crowd to the raucous ‘Stadium Hole’.
While the Genesis Scottish Open introduced the stadium experience last year, it is set to be fully enclosed for the first time.
The sixth hole of the East Lothian venue has already become renowned as one of the must-go spots for fans during Scotland’s national open, and that reputation will grow even more.
As well as being fully enclosed with grandstands, the short par-3 will boast screens, platforms, and a new children’s viewing area.

“We are proud of how the Genesis Scottish Open has grown in stature over the years, and that includes the exciting package of entertainment for all the family,” said Rory Colville, Genesis Scottish Open Championship Director.
“The Sixth Hole Stadium Experience is undoubtedly the place to be to take in the action in a fun-filled environment, while the Fan Zone including the Fringe by the Tee stage offers the perfect place to enjoy some time outside of the ropes.
“We’re also delighted to help fans to take in every inch of the spectacular Renaissance Club venue with our nature trail and scavenger hunt.”
During the Wednesday pro-am, young fans will once again have the chance to walk the hole with some of the stars of the event and even get the chance to hole a putt.

From Thursday’s first round onwards, any fan who correctly predicts the first player to card a hole-in-one will win a VIP experience at the Genesis Championship in Korea, including business class return flights and accommodation.
Robert MacIntyre is set to defend his title at this year’s tournament, which will feature all of the top five, eight of the top ten and 13 of the top 20 players in the Official World Golf Rankings.
The four current Major champions – Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele and JJ Spaun – will be in action.
