Imagine being out on the golf course ALL day, and then for another eight hours.
Impossible, you might think.
Well, Issac Rowlands, an Assistant Pro at The Grove, in Hertfordshire, has his sights on testing it.
The 25-year-old will leave his day job near London and head for the Arctic Circle in May, in a bid to break a Guiness World Record.
Achieving the feat at Lofoten Links would hand Rowlands the award for the world’s longest golf marathon.
Of course, the midnight sun will make it slightly easier as he hopes to draw more attention to the incredible support and help provided by Macmillan.

Regardless of the outcome, Rowlands will give back to a cause that is particularly meaningful to him.
At 19, the Cambridgeshire native endured a lymphoma scare and underwent two operations before receiving the all-clear.
“Macmillan were so helpful, and all of the staff were really lovely,” he said.
“A close friend has also just recently undergone a cancer operation and said the same thing, so I would want others in the same situation to continue to get this level of support.
“It will be quite the challenge to play for that long, but I couldn’t wish for a more inspiring venue to do it, and I’d like to thank the people at Lofoten Links for their support in making this happen.”
The existing record was set at the venue in 2022, when Michael McMeekin played for just over 30 hours.
Teeing it up in all kinds of weather, he completed eight rounds of golf.

Rowlands’ attempt comes two years after he joined The Grove and just over a year since joining the pro team last October.
Joel Westwell, Director of Golf at The Grove, said: “We’re very proud at The Grove to be supporting Isaac, while many of us are envious of him playing on such an incredible venue!
“Although we love playing golf this is a seriously physical challenge, and we will be supporting him through training programmes to ensure he’s in the best shape possible.
“I would urge everyone to give generously for such an amazing cause.”
