Sony Open champion Wagner is not the first golfer to sport some facial fuzz

Johnson Wagner debuted a funky moustache at the Sony Open

Johnson Wagner looked more like Wagner from The X-Factor when he scooped the Sony Open, the second PGA Tour event of the season. The American sported a funky moustache en route to his third career PGA Tour title, which he says came about as a result of laziness around Thanksgiving last year.

“I kind of made a deal with myself in December that if I was to get into the Masters, then I was going to keep the moustache for at least this year,” he said after his win. “Everybody said, ‘Oh, is it a Movember moustache? Well, it’s December, time to shave it.’ I said, ‘Look, this is not a one-month moustache. This is potentially a ten-year moustache.’ So I think it’s going to be around for a while.”

Of course, Wagner is by no means the first golfer to be taken by the notion of some facial fuzz.
