Jake Knapp and Patty Tavatanakit ended the year on a high by winning the Grant Thornton Invitational on Sunday.
They set the tournament alight on Thursday and never relented, opening with the round of the day – a 14-under-par 58.
In the end, the pair closed out a one-shot win over Tom Kim and Jeeno Thitikul, clearly playing to each other’s strengths.
“I tried to give Jake security out there and tell him to send it,” Tavatanakit said after winning the season-ender in Florida.
“I hit a couple good ones and I found some good feels that worked this week and we were able to close it out.”
For their troubles, the pair earned an equal share of $1 million, while Kim and Thitikul left with $280,000 each.
And the event even prompted IGF chief Anthony Scanlon to give an update on plans to introduce a mixed event at the 2028 Olympic Games.
