Fairmont is host to the DP World Tour this week, as the Hero Open returns to St Andrews.

While the dust has only just settled from the 150th Open Championship, top-level golf is back in Fife with the Hero Open.

Fans will get the chance to see some of the top talents in Europe up close at Fairmont this week. That includes last week’s champion, Richie Ramsay, who is fresh off a victory in the Cazoo Classic on Sunday.

This is only the third time the Hero Open has been played, with the first taking place in 2020 at Forest of Arden. Last year, it moved to Fairmont, where Grant Forrest lifted the trophy.

This year, he’s back to defend his title, and will be leading a healthy Scottish contingent also hoping for success.

Let’s take a look at all the details ahead of play getting underway…

Hero Open 2022 details

Course:  Fairmont Hotel, St Andrews

Course Stats: Par 72, 7,230 yards

Defending Champion: Grant Forrest

Purse: EUR 1,750,000

Hero Open 2022 betting tips

Here’s who you can expect to see at the top of the leader board come Sunday…

Ryan Fox 11/1

Richie Ramsay 22/1

Adrian Otaegui 22/1

Oliver Bekker 25/1

Romain Langasque 25/1

Hurly Long 30/1

Callum Shinkwin 30/1

Antoine Rozner 33/1

Edoardo Molinari 40/1

Espen Kofstad 40/1

The bunkered Bet:

Ryan Fox 11/1

He’s the favourite this week for a good reason. Fox has been flying this year, and his power off-the-tee is a big reason for that. He’s not played since the Open, so he’ll be back in Scotland after a good rest, and ready to contend again.
