The Englishman is rightly one of the favourites to retain the trophy he won 12 months ago, where he edged past Peter Uihlein by one stroke. Fleetwood has since gone from strength to strength, winning the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship earlier this year and carding a record equalling 63 in the recent US Open, where he finished second by a stroke. All of this has helped him to cement his place inside the top ten of the world rankings and makes him the joint favourite this week with most bookmakers (alongside Jon Rahm and Justin Thomas).
