How golf balls have evolved through the decades

Although something, likely a wooden ball, was used before, the first golf ball that can be officially verified is the feathery.  Early versions of these balls, which were made of leather and stuffed with an actual ‘top-hat’ full amount of duck and geese feathers, were expensive. They also took a long time to make.
