Keegan Bradley has reiterated his stance on LIV golfers heading into this year’s Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black.

The 2025 US captain is playing in the PGA Championship this week, whilst paying careful attention to Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau, in particular, at Quail Hollow.

Patrick Reed is also in the mix, but the aforementioned LIV pair were the only Americans from the Saudi-backed circuit invited to a dinner with potential team members last week.

But, no matter you’re name or the tour you play on, Bradley says you’ve got a chance of wearing red, white and blue in September.

“No one cares about what’s going on inside this PGA Tour-LIV,” the 38-year-old explained. “We’re trying to put the best team together.

“It could mean there’s one LIV guy, two LIV guys, it doesn’t matter. We’ll see how this year shakes out. It was really great to have them together with all the guys. It’s been a while since we’ve been able to do that.”

He continued: “We don’t have quite the same stats [on LIV] that we have out here, but we have some. We know winning and contending on any tour at any level is difficult.

“I don’t care where you play. I played the mini-tours. Winning there was difficult. Winning on LIV is difficult. You can see guys — winning a LIV event is a big deal.”

Of course, Bradley made it clear during his public unveiling as captain last July that politics would not influence his decision making.

“I’m going to have the 12 best players on the team,” Bradley said. “I don’t care where they play. I don’t care about the LIV stuff.”

Of the dinner, Bradley added that it was important to ‘celebrate’ a Ryder Cup year and try to gee up some of his troops.

“It was amazing,” said the two-time Ryder Cupper. “It’s always fun this time of year to get the guys together under one roof – the caddies, the wives, the players – and really start to celebrate a Ryder Cup year.

“I think it’s important — I know for me as a player, I loved going to these meetings because it started to get real, like this is coming; I really want to get on this team.

“And try to motivate the guys to be excited to play for our captains that we have and get excited to play at Bethpage Black.

“As a player, I was always just so excited to go to stuff like that because it’s our dream to be on these teams. Even getting invited to a meeting like that is special because it means you could make the team.”

Meanwhile, Bradley will officially make his 15th PGA Championship start when the tournament gets underway on Thursday.

He hasn’t missed the cut in this tournament since 2020 and finished T33 when it was last played at the famed North Carolina venue.
