A furious Jon Rahm has shot down suggestions that he is unhappy on the LIV Golf League, dismissing the claims as having ‘zero validity’.
In an exclusive interview with the New York Post, two-time major champion Rahm railed against rumours that he wants to return to the PGA Tour.
A recent Golf Digest feature quoted an unnamed tour insider as saying that the Spaniard is dealing with “deep regret” over his decision to join LIV last December.
“I am 100 percent positive that if Jon could give the money back to the Saudis and come back to the tour, he couldn’t write the check fast enough,” added the source.

That, according to Rahm himself, couldn’t be further from the truth.
“There’s zero validity to what any of that said,” insisted Rahm. “I don’t know where it came from.
“I don’t know why they feel the need to say that some of us are unhappy when we’re not.
“It’s one of the things that frustrates me a little bit, the fact that they can claim that there’s a source and there’s zero truth to it.
“I’m very comfortable with my decision, very happy with my decision, very, very eager for the future of my team and the league.

“I get to be a part of something very different to what we had in the past. I always enjoyed being part of a team and to be in charge of one now is something incredible.”
Rahm goes into the final regular event of the LIV season in Chicago next month top of the individual standings after rediscovering top gear following a slow start to the year.
Having turned that corner, he’s hopeful he’ll now maintain his current form and put himself firmly in the conversation for a place on the European team at next year’s Ryder Cup.
“It’s something so special,” he said. “It’s going to be a lot of fun. It’s going to be absolutely incredible. And hopefully, I can be a part of the team.”
