The Ryder Cup blue touchpaper has been well and truly lit by Keegan Bradley.

New footage has surfaced in Netflix golf docuseries Full Swing showing the US skipper warning Team Europe that the United States are “gonna go to Bethpage to kick their f****** ass.”

The bold claim was made by major champ Bradley in the United States’ team room during last year’s Presidents Cup.

Bradley justified his pick for Jim Furyk’s side to play Mike Weir’s Internationals at Royal Montreal in September by contributing two points to the United States’ haul, including the winning point in a one-up victory over Si Wi Kim.

The Netflix cameras captured scenes in the team room afterwards as Bradley’s caddie Scott Vail tossed a ‘match ball’ to him, prompting this impromptu speech from the former PGA champion.

“I’m gonna get criticised as the captain next year,” he said. “They’re gonna underestimate me. They’re going to doubt me.

“I’ve been doubted my whole f**king life. That’s when I do my best work.

“We are gonna go to Bethpage to kick their f**king ass.”

Cue delirium from the entire room.

The scene unfolds at the end of the seventh episode of the third season of Full Swing, which launched on Netflix today.

Bradley will lead the US into the 45th edition of the biennial match, which takes place at Bethpage from September 25-28.

The six-time PGA Tour winner agonisingly missed out on a place in Zach Johnson’s American side that lost the famous gold trophy to Luke Donald’s Europeans at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome in 2023.

Donald, of course, continues in the European hotseat.
