A veteran European caddie is set to step back in 2025 after over four decades in the job.
Billy Foster, who teamed up with Matt Fitzpatrick five years ago, has told The Mirror that he will caddie part-time going forward.
The Yorkshireman helped Fitzpatrick to his first major title in 2022 at the US Open but will now share a job with Dan Parratt.
“I’m 59 next week so I am going to do a job share,” Foster said.
“With 26, 27 events every year, transatlantic, it is catching up with me so I will share with Dan Parratt who has caddied for about 15 years.
“I will be doing about 13, 14 tournaments whatever it ends up being. I might do an odd couple in Europe with different people, we will see.”

Expanding on his plans, Foster – who has also worked with the likes of Seve Ballesteros, Darren Clarke, Lee Westwood and Tiger Woods – admitted the pair will alternate.
Foster will kick off the new season in Hawaii for The Sentry before Parratt caddies at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
“I will do Florida, the Masters and Hilton Head and Dan will do US PGA and Memorial,” he added.
“I will come and do the US Open, The Open and the Scottish [Open], and Dan will come in and do the FedEx Cup playoffs.”
Then, it will most likely be the small matter of a Ryder Cup for Fitzpatrick and Foster – who have worked together in the last three contests.
Last September’s appearance was number 15 for Foster and he’s backed Europe to do a job on the road.

“I think it is going to be a brutal Ryder Cup,” he said. “It might go down as one of the most boisterous of all time because it is New York.
“They are burning from last time. The crowd could a get a bit out of control, I hope I am wrong.
“All 12 players have to turn up and play well or it will be really difficult. Can they win? Yes, they can, but it will be an incredibly tough task.”
Meanwhile, Fitzpatrick’s new caddie is somewhat of a veteran himself, having been on the scene for over 15 years.
He started the year with Tom Kim and has worked with several tour players, including Byeong Hun An and KH Lee.
