The 2025 season could be a big one for Frankie Capan III.
At first glance, the 24-year-old is readying himself for a crack at the PGA Tour as an official member.
With only four starts to his name on the top tour, Capan has earned his card after a fruitful season on the feeder circuit, winning once and bagging six other top ten finishes.
His most memorable effort was a Scottie Scheffler course record-breaking 58 at the Veritex Bank Championship in Texas.
That led to a second US Open start in June, and a first made cut in the American major where he finished in a tie for 41st place.

But after only recently graduating from the Korn Ferry Tour, Capan is hoping to end next year wearing red, white and blue at Bethpage Black.
Speaking to Brentley Romine on the College Golf Talk podcast, the Texas-based pro admits he has is dreaming big.
“I’ve never had super specific goals,” he said.
“I just have things that really inspire and excite me, and one of those things would be teeing it up at Bethpage Black next fall in the Ryder Cup.
“I told my caddie that would be somewhat of a goal for next year. We probably have to get off to a good start, get into some of those elevated events early and then have a good rest of the year.”

Capan, from North Oaks, Minnesota, finished third on the Korn Ferry Tour’s season-long points list but sits at 129 in the Official World Golf Rankings.
Excluding the US Open, he has made the weekend on both previous tour starts, however.
And despite having to hit the ground running, Capan is under no illusions that it will be a challenge.
“I like that [goal]. It’s good enough. It would definitely test me,” he added.
Keegan Bradley insists he will take the 12 best US players on the plane next September, so the ball is firmly in Capan’s court.
