Anthony Kim has launched an astonishing attack on Brandel Chamblee, labelling the Golf Channel analyst a “talentless fool” who is “disliked by most people in the golf world.”
Kim, who made a shock return to professional golf in February on the LIV Golf League, has unloaded on Chamblee over his criticism aimed at the breakaway circuit.
Chamblee has long been an ardent critic of LIV and Kim’s extraordinary broadside on Friday appeared to be in response to his apparent U-turn on the PGA Tour’s deal with the rival league’s Saudi backers.
After it had emerged Rory McIlroy would not be rejoining the PGA Tour Board, Chamblee admitted that completing a deal with the Saudi Public Investment Fund was the “better end of the bargain” for the PGA Tour.

“Ramble Chamblee @chambleebrandel ur such a p**** 4 beating on ur chest & basically saying never retreat & hypocritically retreat,” Kim posted on X, formerly Twitter. “It is well known this talentless fool is disliked by most people in the golf world. U still gonna cover golf if @livgolf_league is involved?”
Former PGA Tour pro Chamblee has vehemently opposed the Saudi emergence into the elite game over the past two years, but now thinks his former domain must strike a deal to protect its own future.
“The PGA Tour is in this pickle like it or not, but, do you want to compete with someone who’s not gonna go away (LIV), who can outspend you (PIF),” Chamblee said on Thursday.
“Every move they make that makes their Tour better deletes your Tour and causes more division within the Tour. So the time is now, to Rory’s point about making a deal, I wouldn’t have said that a year ago… but it is the better end of the bargain.”
Returning after a 12-year recluse, Kim has struggled in his early days on the LIV circuit.
The former American Ryder Cup player is yet to finish inside the top 50 in five starts on the 54-player league and makes his next LIV appearance in Houston on June 7-9.
Chamblee, meanwhile, has been named as one of NBC’s lead analysts for coverage of the US Open at Pinehurst next month.
