LIV Golf: Every player banned by the PGA Tour

The power struggle between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf has divided the sport at the top level.

Many of the game’s biggest stars have pledged their futures to the established circuits, while others have defected to the Saudi-backed venture.

It has proved controversial. Debate has raged over the morals of doing so, and vast appearance fees have been paid out to a number of players.

The PGA Tour reacted angrily to those who chose to play in the new league, banning a number of players as soon as the first balls were struck at the first event at Centurion Club in June.

With more players signing up to take part in the series, additional suspensions are set to follow, while the tour is also in discussions over what other punishments it can impose.

PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan said the players had “decided to turn their backs” on the circuit by “wilfully violating a regulation”.

In response, LIV accused the tour of being “vindictive” and “blocking golfers from playing”.

Here is every player banned from the PGA Tour so far.

Note: players who have not played but have signed up for future events are not yet officially suspended. However, the tour is expected to announce bans once the LIV Bedminster gets under way.

An asterisk denotes a player who has resigned their PGA Tour membership.
