LIV Golf breaks new ground this week, heading to Hong Kong for the first time.

It comes on the back of Anthony Kim’s highly anticipated return to golf after a self-imposed 12-year exile from the game.

The American teed it up as a Wild Card and will join the LIV crew on their travels to the Chinese region.

Hong Kong Golf Club hosted its national open for the second time last year as part of the International Series.

But it will go one better from Friday, the likes of Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson compete in LIV’s inaugural Hong Kong event.

The league’s top players could have a day to remember, too, according to Chief Executive and commissioner Greg Norman, who believes a piece of history could be made.

In February, the Australian said a 59 is ‘gettable’ on the city’s composite course.

Meanwhile, fans can also get in on the action, as places in the Pro-Am are available to purchase.

A spot alongside a LIV Golf pro the day before competition gets underway, will set you back around £5,000.

And to top off the action, American DJ and producer Gryffin is set to provide the post-golf entertainment as the headline act on Saturday night.

LIV Golf Hong Kong betting tips

Here’s who the bookies fancy to shine this week…

Jon Rahm 11/2

Joaquin Niemann 15/2

Tyrrell Hatton 14/1

Bryson DeChambeau 14/1

Talor Gooch 14/1

The bunkered bet

Jon Rahm 11/2

Cam Smith finished second in the Hong Kong Open at this course in November, so is definitely worth a punt at around 20/1, but his T41 finish in Jeddah last week doesn’t fuel much belief. Rahm, meanwhile, has been just shy of contending in all three of his first LIV starts and will be desperate to get that winning feeling back ahead of his Masters defence next month. The Spaniard’s game is in pretty good shape, too.
