LIV Golf, approaching its fourth full season, could be about to land a huge TV deal.
According to Josh Carpenter of Sports Business Journal, the circuit is expected to agree to a broadcast deal with Fox Sports.
While the structure of a deal and the channel on which LIV would air is unclear, the network would broadcast events starting in 2025.
It comes after Scott O’Neil, the man expected to replace Greg Norman as LIV Golf’s commissioner and CEO, played with two key figures in the Pro-Am at this week’s Crypto.com Showdown.

Ahead of the tour grudge match, O’Neil teed it up with Alan Gold, the head of sports media at CAA Evolution, and Jordan Bazant, the EVP of business development and media for Fox Sports.
A deal between LIV and Fox has been discussed previously. In 2022, Golfweek reported that LIV was close to agreeing a deal to air its events on Fox Sports 1.
Meanwhile, the move would be a huge turning point for LIV Golf after the CW Network’s agreement was not extended beyond its second season.
Tournaments were also streamed on YouTube and the LIV Golf app, but the breakaway league suffered modest viewership figures in 2024.
At LIV Golf Greenbrier in August, Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka’s final round tussle averaged only 165,000 viewers.
It was a concern that Norman raised in October.
“Where we’re falling short is due to the headwinds in not getting a network [TV] deal,” the Australian told Sports Illustrated.
“That creates uncertainty in the marketplace. [A lot of companies say] let’s see what happens. That rolls into sponsorship. We have an enormous number of big corporations who are talking to us and would be very keen to come on.”

LIV has unveiled its schedule for 2025 and there are several key differences to this year’s calendar.
The primary change is that the season will likely wrap up in August, whereas the 2024 season ended in Dallas in late September.
As pointed out by SBJ, an earlier finish would suit Fox Sports, as it ramps up its college football and NFL programming shortly after.
