A LIV Golf general manager anticipates at least one high profile signing this winter – but has also claimed that two players regret not joining the breakaway league.
LIV will announce their 2025 roster in the coming weeks, with bosses working behind the scenes to acquire new players during the off-season transfer window.
Last year, Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton were the big name additions and chief executive Greg Norman wants to improve his talent pool further in another winter of change.

And with LIV’s fourth season right around the corner, insiders claim there has been huge interest from players keen to jump ship for the breakaway.
“My phone’s been ringing nonstop basically since right before Dallas (Team Championship) and things are starting to happen from either player directly or agents calling exploring and wanting to look at the possibility of coming on [LIV team],” an unnamed general manager told Sports Illustrated’s Matt Vincenzi.
“With what the inside rumblings are, I would guess that there’s going to be one or two big names coming over.
“Two guys that had very big offers that are now calling would love to be on [LIV] and said that was the worst decision they made is not accepting the offer and coming over.”

LIV have yet to announce a signing for the 2025 season but movement is expected in the coming days and weeks.
Bubba Watson, Kalle Samooja, Scott Vincent, Branden Grace and Kieran Vincent were all relegated from the league in 2024, opening up gaps across team rosters.
It is expected, however, that Watson will return as captain of RangeGoats GC on what LIV are calling a “business case” – despite his relegation. Grace may also be brought back into the all-South African Stinger GC fold.
Elsewhere, LIV will welcome a new player at the Promotions Event in Riyadh on December 12-14.
Before that, the winner of the International Series will also earn a guaranteed spot on LIV for the 2025 season after the Saudi PIF International at the same venue.
