Multiple LIV golfers’ preparation for this week’s event in Texas has been thrown into turmoil after their luggage failed to arrive in Houston.
Ian Poulter, Henrik Stenson and Lee Westwood of Majesticks GC, and Legion XIII’s Tyrrell Hatton, have all been impacted.
In a (very funny) video filmed at the baggage reclaim in Houston airport and posted to social media, Poulter is overheard going from player to player asking them for an update on their luggage.
“Tyrrell, where’s your clubs?” he asks Hatton.
“F**k knows,” replies his fellow Englishman.
“Where’s your suitcase?” adds Poulter, prompting the same reply from Hatton.
Poulter responds: “Probably back in Heathrow, well done.”
He then turns his attention to Stenson.

“H, where’s your clubs?”
The 2016 Open champ replies: “Hopefully, Heathrow.”
The camera then moves outside of the airport to show a thoroughly fed-up Westwood standing by a car.
“Where’s your case?” asks Poulter.
Westwood replies: “Heathrow. Where am I? Houston.”
Poulter discovered his clubs had not made it onto the flight from London courtesy of an mid-flight email from British Airways, prompting this response from the Ryder Cup star on Instagram.

“FFS @british_airways so disappointing,” he wrote. “I checked in 2 hours 20 minutes before the flight. What could possibly be the excuse.
“Received the email three hours into the flight. I wouldn’t have bothered flying if you’re not sending my golf clubs. Can’t swing fresh air.”
This week’s event at the Golf Club of Houston is the eighth of the 2024 LIV Golf season and losing their luggage is a headache the Majesticks, in particular, could well do without.
They are currently ranked 12th on the 13-team leaderboard, narrowly ahead of Kevin Na’s Iron Heads GC.
Westwood, meantime, has endured a difficult season to date. He is one of only three players – alongside wild cards Hudson Swafford and Anthony Kim – yet to register a point on the individual standings.
