Lottery winner sets sights on completing golf goal after hitting jackpot

A car salesman has set his sights on completing a long-held golf ambition after landing a massive cash windfall in the People’s Postcode Lottery.

Fraser Macleod, 32, netted a cool £111,111 when he and eight neighbours split £1million in the latest big-money draw.

The four-handicapper now plans to spend a chunk of the cash playing the top 100 courses in the UK and Ireland.

“I’ve done 58 so far, with another 42 to go,” said Macleod.

“Trump Aberdeen is probably the one I want to do most. When the weather’s better I’ll treat the lads to a nice round of golf there.”

“Royal Birkdale is my favourite and I’m trying to become a member there.”

His close friend Richard Gajewski also banked a six-figure cheque when SK7 5QY scooped the Postcode Lottery’s ‘Millionaire Street’ prize on November 2.

“We’ve known each other for 20-plus years,” said 71-year-old Gajewski.

“I used to be the junior organiser at the golf club and Fraser was one of the juniors. It’s fantastic to win together. I’m so chuffed for him. He could have taught me golf, he’s that good.

The People’s Postcode Lottery costs £12 a month to play and there are guaranteed winners every day. People play with their chosen postcode and are automatically entered into all draws.
