The departures keep on coming at the elite level of women’s golf.
In recent months, two members of Team USA’s winning Solheim Cup teams both announced they would be stepping away from the LPGA at the end of the season.
First Lexi Thompson, one of the game’s true superstars, revealed that 2024 was her final year playing a full time schedule in the professional ranks.
Then, just days after the American side’s victory over Europe, Ally Ewing also confirmed she would be packing away the clubs.

Now Brittany Lincicome, one of Stacy Lewis’ valuable assistants in Virginia, has also called time on her LPGA career.
The 39-year-old, who played in six Solheim matches and won two majors across her garlanded career, will wave goodbye at her home event – The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican this month.
She opened up on her decision as she cited getting to spend more time with her young family in an interview with Golfweek’s Beth Ann Nichols.
“Getting my first win with my dad on the bag,” she said, “my parents sacrificed everything to get me where I am today. “Winning two majors – two school-teachers raising me to be a pro golfer – and to have eight wins is remarkable.

“All of it is really a dream come true,” she said, “and I’ve been blessed to do it for so long.”
The big-hitting Lincicome has also stressed that this is not a full retirement.
After wins at the Chevron Championship in 2009 and 2015, she is exempt as a past champion at that major and is still likely to compete. She also plans to make some other sporadic starts when her eldest daughter Emery is not in school.
Lincicome is also a strong contender to lead the US at a future Solheim Cup, having won the contest four times as a player.
