A leading golf resort in the US is set to undergo a major renovation project, budgeted at a whopping $92 million.
Saddlebrook Resort in Tampa, Florida, will be completely reimagined, including significant work done to its two 18-hole golf courses.
The Pines and The Oaks will be transformed into three interchangeable nine-hole courses, with the addition of The Cypress.
Nine holes is set to open this Autumn, while the full golf offering will reopen in April 2026.
The project will see all greens reconstructed to USGA specifications, fairway bunkers given upgraded drainage and crisp sand, and tees rebuilt.

It comes hot on the heels of the recent opening of Saddlebrook’s new 13-acre driving range, which also features two practice putting greens, and three short-game areas with greenside bunkers.
Elsewhere, the 451-bedroom hotel and general resort renovations are being led by architecture and design firm EoA Group.
At the heart of upgrades are the lobby, bedrooms and restaurants, plus the event spaces, outdoor areas and swimming pools.
One of the pools set for an update is Saddlebrook’s 500,000-gallon Super Pool – named in honour of the 1984 Super Bowl hosted in Tampa, the same year it originally opened.

“This renovation represents more than just an investment in Saddlebrook – it’s a commitment to restoring and elevating a legacy destination that has long been recognised as a premier setting for group travel, athletic training, and leisure,” said Camilo Miguel Jr, founder & CEO of Mast Capital.
“Our goal was to thoughtfully enhance the resort’s offerings, blending tradition with innovation to create a destination where golf, tennis and relaxation thrive.”

Raj Mohan, Managing Director of Saddlebrook Resort, added: “Our renovation is enhancing the guest experience with a blend of modern comfort and rich history.
“From updated guest rooms and dining options to revamped event spaces and recreational areas, every detail has been designed for relaxation and enjoyment.
“Whether guests are looking to lounge by the pool, spend a day on the green or courts, or host a productive corporate retreat, we’re creating an inviting environment that offers something for everyone.”
