Located along the Breichwater Valley within the village of Fauldhouse, Greenburn Golf Club is a delightful 18-hole course that is a mixture of parkland and moorland.
The course has been in its present location from 1953 and was built by the members themselves.
The club’s motto, “Per Nostra Opera” (by our own endeavors), epitomises the spirit and friendliness that any new members – young or old – will find when they sign up.
At 6,000 yards and with a par of 71, Greenburn has the potential to trip up even the most experienced golfers – particularly the closing 18th hole.
It’s regarded by many to be the best finishing hole of any golf course in the region and, as a result, is the signature hole.
This medium length par-4 has out of bounds running its full length on both sides of the fairway.
When you stand on the elevated tee with the chance of a potentially good score, this generous fairway and landing zone seems to fade to nothing.
if you’re in search of a club to join in the West Lothian area in 2018, you should definitely give Greenburn a call.
