Ranfurly Castle Golf Club, located in Bridge of Weir, Renfrewshire, is a classic moorland golf course, set out over free draining soil and just ten minutes’ drive from Glasgow Airport.

Originally designed by Andrew Kirkcaldy and Willie Auchterlonie, the course opened in 1905 and was reconstructed in 1930 with some influence from the legendary James Braid. From its evated position above the town, it provides exceptional views across the Clyde Valley to Glasgow and north to Ben Lomond and the Trossachs.

The club is currently undergoing a clubhouse renovation, with investment of over £300,000 work set to be completed in the near future. The past few years has also seen large investment in the golf course, with a key focus on all year playability.

Having recently launched a new “Additional Membership” category – available to members of any other Renfrewshire Golf Union affiliated golf club – Ranfurly Castle has also re-launched its popular points based Lifestyle Membership.

The Full Membership category has also seen a huge influx in recent times – a sure sign of the club’s popularity!
