These are the four men’s major venues for 2025

The major calendar in men’s professional golf is famously condensed – so golf fans will have to wait nine long months after the Open Championship at Royal Troon before the next Masters. 

Fortunately though, these majors are almost always worth the wait. As it stands, the ‘Big Four’ events are the only four weeks in a year that all the best players in the world – from both the PGA Tour and LIV Golf – reunite to compete together again.

Such uncertainty in the elite game makes the majors even more fascinating. And, thankfully in 2025, there are some fantastic men’s major venues to look forward to.

Let’s take a look at where all four majors will be held in 2025…

The Masters – Augusta National

The only men’s major that is held in the same year, the 2025 Masters will be staged at Augusta National Golf Club from April 10-13.

Scottie Scheffler will be the defending champion and will head to Georgia chasing his third Green Jacket.

PGA Championship – Quail Hollow Club

The 2025 PGA Championship will be held at Quail Hollow Club from May 15-18.

The North Carolina course last staged the major in 2017, when Justin Thomas lifted his maiden major crown. Rory McIlroy, meanwhile, has won at Quail Hollow Club four times in the Wells Fargo Championship on the PGA Tour. Xander Schauffele will be the defending PGA champion in the 2025 event.

US Open – Oakmont Country Club

Oakmont Country Club will host the 125th US Open and it will be the tenth time that the Pennsylvania venue has staged America’s national championship. The USGA’s showpiece event was last staged at Oakmont in 2016, where Dustin Johnson prevailed as the champion. In 2025, the tournament will be held from June 12-15.

The Open – Royal Portrush

The Open will return to Royal Portrush in 2025 after its successful return to the rota of golf’s oldest major back in 2019. Shane Lowry won golf’s oldest major in 2019. The Open, the final men’s major on the 2025 calendar, will be staged from July 17-20.
