This time last week Michelle Wie began the quest for her first major. One week later she was at the top of the Empire State Building, US Open trophy in hand.


After triumphing at Pinehurst last Sunday, Wie has finally filled her potential as a force in the women’s game. Ten years ago she hit TV screens touted as the next big thing. Now she’s returned to the limelight as a major champion.

The American star appeared on the NBC Today show, paid a visit to Fox’s ‘fox and friends’ programe and posed with the trophy at the top of one of New York's most iconic landmarks.

Michelle Wie gets back to business


After the frenzy of winning a US Open and embarking on a whistle stop media tour, you could forgive Wie for wanting to take a well earned rest. She hasn’t.The world No.7 is making the journey to the LPGA Tour’s latest event, the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship.

Following up a major win with another victory is no easy task. But with no three-putts all week at Pinehurst, and the only player under-par, you wouldn’t put it past her.
