Max Homa will defend his Nedbank Golf Challenge title this week as the DP World Tour heads to South Africa.

Homa will join fellow PGA Tour winners Will Zalatoris and Corey Conners on a rare jaunt over to the formerly known European Tour for the $6million showpiece in Sun City.

The American shot a six-under 66 in the final round last year to win his first international title by four shots at the Gary Player Country Club.

Marketed as ‘Africa’s major’ other notable names in the field include Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald and Nicolai and Rasmus Hojgaard, who will both be playing on the PGA Tour from 2025.

South African Thriston Lawrence will be among the home favourites in Sun City.

This marks the third event of the DP World Tour’s ‘Opening Swing’ for the 2025 campaign after the BMW Australian PGA Championship and the ISPS Handa Australian Open.
