The fans at yesterday’s BMW Championship pro-am were on their game.
One man who wasn’t, however, was NFL legend Peyton Manning.
The American, widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, was making his latest PGA Tour appearance in Colorado and suffered a nightmare start to his round.
You’ll be glad to know you’re not the only one who gets first tee jitters, as Manning – playing alongside Wyndham Clark – teed up an early breakfast ball.

The 48-year-old topped his first shot of the day, leaving, well, a long approach into the green at the par-5 opener, which stretches over 650 yards.
“Anyone see where that went?” he asked the packed gallery.

That’s when a small group of fans clearly found Manning’s tee shot all too relatable.
“One of us, one of us,” they chanted.
The two-time Super Bowl champion, who is a regular at the Memorial pro-am, brushed it off with a grin before carrying on.
Reporter Romi Bean, who also filmed the blunder, said on X that the ball only travelled about 15 yards, meaning he could have, quite literally, thrown it further.
Still, Manning stayed out of the spotlight to finish his round after playing the back nine with Canadian Adam Hadwin.
It certainly wasn’t as good as his first trip to Castle Pines as a member, when Manning carded an ace on the par-3 7th hole.

He did, however, have fans talking about his short game.
“Peyton with one of the more egregious chopping motions maybe ever?” one said, while another wrote: “Probably taking swing pointers from Charles Barkley.”
Fans will hopefully be treated to some better golf as the second leg of the play-offs get underway on Thursday.
