Rory McIlroy will be centre of attention tomorrow as he gets the defence of his BMW PGA Championship title underway – but at the Celebrity Pro-Am it was playing partner Niall Horan who stole the show.

The One Direction singer caddied for McIlroy at the Masters Par-3 contest last month and despite hitting the one shot he played at Augusta into the water, he was handed the chance to redeem himself with 18 holes at Wentworth alongside the world No.1 and ex-Manchester United players Paul Scholes and Phil Neville.

Crowds swarmed the group but it wasn’t McIlroy everyone was dying to catch a glimpse of – it was Niall Horan.

The European Tour tweeted:

Niall Horan

And judging by the gallery below, the photographers at Wentworth were also keen snap the 21-year-old, who was made a lifetime member of his hometown Mullingar Golf Club late last year.
