Nick Dunlap’s stock is rising in professional golf, so who is his girlfriend?

The American made history in January 2024, winning the American Express as an amateur golfer.

It was during his final days as a sophomore at the University of Alabama, and Dunlap joined the pro ranks immediately after.

As well as enjoying a strong amateur career at college, it’s also where he met his girlfriend, Isabella Ellis.

So, here’s a little more about the girlfriend of one of golf’s hottest prospects.

Nick Dunlap’s girlfriend

Like Dunlap, his girlfriend also hails from Alabama. However, she is from the western city of Tuscaloosa, where she attended Tuscaloosa Academy and was a varsity cheerleader.

After graduating, she began studying a major in nursing at the University of Alabama, where Dunlap was a member of the Crimson Tide men’s golf team.

Ellis has clearly had a successful start to life in school, recognised with the academy’s President’s Student Service Award and the Outstanding Academic Excellence Award.

It is unclear when she began dating Dunlap, although Ellis first posted pictures with the now multiple PGA Tour winner on her Instagram page in September 2023.

Two months later, Dunlap posted: “Capping off 23’ on a high note,” alongside his girlfriend.

Dunlap had his girlfriend join the celebrations after his historic win in January, too. The pair, alongside Dunlap’s family, posed for pictures next to his first Tour trophy.

His final round 60 landed the title and etched Dunlap’s name into the history books. He became the first amateur to win on the PGA Tour since Phil Mickelson in 1991.

It wouldn’t be the last time he made history in 2024, either. In July, Dunlap won the Barracuda Championship to become the first player to win as an amateur and a pro in the same year.

However, his girlfriend was unable to make the tournament at Tahoe Mountain Club in California.

They did at least enjoy the Masters Par 3 competition together in April ahead of Dunlap’s debut at Augusta National.

She was on caddie duties as Dunlap teed it up alongside Lee Hodges and Denny McCarthy.

It wasn’t the result Dunlap was looking for, as he missed the cut. But his girlfriend Isabella enjoyed herself, particularly at the pre-tournament event.

She wrote on Instagram: “Wednesday’s are fun @themasters.” She also described Dunlap’s win at the AmEx as a “core memory”.
