The PGA Tour’s annual qualifying marathon comes to an end this week at HQ.
Four days in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, is all that remains for 171 players searching for next season’s PGA tour card.
Of course, it’s all about Q School this week.
The first two rounds will take place at the TPC Sawgrass Dye’s Valley before Sawgrass Country Club hosts the third and fourth round.
Only the top five and ties will earn an immediate promotion to the PGA Tour, though, with Korn Ferry Tour and PGA Tour Americas status also available.
So, here are some of the notable names in the field…
• Every LIV Golf signing ahead of 2025
• Petition launched to save iconic Scottish golf course
Sam Bennett
The 24-year-old is one of the youngest players at Q School, and his performance on Masters debut last year will ring a few bells. He announced himself to the world with a T16 finish but has been in-and-out on the Korn Ferry Tour this season.
Adrien Dumont de Chassart
The Belgian has long been fancied as a future Ryder Cup player, following a successful amateur career. In fact, his college game helped him earn a PGA Tour card for 2024, but the 24-year-old will have to try and win it back for next year.
Yubin Jang
Jang might not be a familiar name, but his inclusion is certainly interesting. As reported by Yonhap News, the KPGA Tour Order of Merit winner will sign for LIV Golf this week. But, at the time of writing, he is still in the field for a crack at a PGA Tour card.
Garrick Higgo
A winner on the PGA and DP World Tours, Higgo won the Palmetto Championship in 2021 to earn Tour status through 2023. He bagged another year on the circuit in 2024 but finished 150th in the FedEx Cup standings and will try to play his way back in again.

Martin Laird
The Scot is a four-time winner on the PGA Tour, including wins at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Valero Texas Open – where he beat Rory McIlroy into second. Laird lost his tour card this year and is another with sights on winning it back.
Nick Watney
Few in the field have achieved as much as Watney in their time as a professional. He’s a five-time winner on the circuit, including a WGC title in 2011, and won the Presidents Cup the same year. The 43-year-old’s best days are behind him, however, and he needs a good week to return.
