In addition to the Wanamaker Trophy, Xander Schauffele, the winner of the PGA Championship, is taking home a tournament record cheque.
The PGA of America announced a slight increase in prize money for this year’s edition of the second men’s major of the year.
There’s a total of $18.5million at stake at Valhalla, up from $17.5million at Oak Hill last year.
On that occasion, Brooks Koepka pocketed a cool $3.15million. Schauffele, however, walks away with $3.33million.
• Where will the 2025 PGA Championship be played?
Indeed, each of the top-three finishers have cleared north of $1million for their week’s work.
At $18.5million, the PGA now offers half a million dollars more than The Masters but is still some way short of the US Open, which put up $20million last year.
The Open, meantime, offered $16.5million at Royal Liverpool last year.
Here’s a full breakdown of who’s going home with what from Valhalla…
