The final round of the Texas Children’s Houston Open had it all.
Min Woo Lee fended off a late Scottie Scheffler challenge to land his first PGA Tour title, but the Australian’s slow play stole the headlines.
On Memorial Park’s par-5 eighth hole, Lee took over 12 minutes to take an unplayable and play his third shot. And it riled up one of his playing partners: Alejandro Tosti.
The group, which also included Ryan Fox, eventually played the hole in over 31 minutes, but Tosti was at his wits end and found a rules official.
While there was no audio, NBC on-course reporter Jim “Bones” Mackay, the former caddie of Justin Thomas, said Tosti was unhappy and then mentioned an incident on the opening hole.

“I thought he was a little bit disrespectful to Fox on the first hole today when Tosti was taking a drop,” Mackay said.
The drama had only just begun, though. Tosti, 28, walked more than a hundred yards behind the other two players in his group.
That’s when Mackay, and analyst Kevin Kisner, had a go at the Argentinian.
“I don’t know what’s going on, but Tosti is playing at his own pace,” Mackay said.
“At times, it’s normal. At times, it’s glacially slow. But he’s decided on this particular hole to really take his time, and he’s holding up play in this last group.
“The bottom line is this is incredibly unfair to a 26-year-old guy (Lee) trying to get over the finish line for the first time.”
Kisner added: “If it was me, I’d just walk over to Tosti and say, ‘What are you doing, bro?’”

The incident wasn’t raised after the round, but Tosti has now broken his silence on social media and bit back at Mackay.
“Bones talking sh*t for the fans,” he wrote on X. “Saying l am walking 50 yards behind and “trying to slow playing my partner”.
“The part you don’t see is that l used the restroom and prepared myself a drink.”
Tosti, who finished T5 in the event thanks to a birdie on the final hole, also spoke to publication Handicap 54 about the slow play concerns.
He said that nothing happened on the first tee with Fox, but that the New Zealander “was also upset about what happened with Min Woo Lee on the 8th hole”.
