It’s time for the world’s top golfers to go for gold as the 2024 Olympics cranks up a notch in Paris.

For the third successive Games, some of the best players in the game will attempt to add to their countries’ medal haul.

Whilst the format is – to the chagrin of many – no different than the type of golf seen week in and week out on the PGA Tour (i.e. 72-hole strokeplay), there is an unusual look at feel to the competition, as the 60 players in each of the men’s and women’s fields ditch their usual apparel and golf bags in favour of their national colours.

For example, for one week only, Nike athlete Rory McIlroy is wearing the unmistakable logo of the ‘Swoosh’s biggest rival Adidas.
