A police investigation has begun after a series of arson attacks took place at a popular UK golf course.
As reported by the Swindon Advertiser, Wrag Barn Golf and Country Club near Highworth, in Swindon, has been left with hundreds of pounds worth of damage.
Since March 25, both the 18-hole golf course and the property have been targeted in at least five fire-related incidents.
Wiltshire Police has released a new statement, declaring that the authority is treating them all as ‘suspicious’, with officers appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses to a series of arson incidents that have taken place at Wrag Barn Golf & Country Club.
“Since March 25, there have been at least five suspicious fires, causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage.
“If you witnessed any of these incidents, or have any information then please contact 101 quoting reference 54250045761.”
Located on the outskirts of the small market town, Wrag Barn is a relatively new layout having been established in 1990.
It’s regarded as a challenging par-72 stretching just over 6,600 yards and offers stunning countryside views.
The attacks, meanwhile, are the latest in a long line at golf courses up and down the country.

Just a few weeks ago, StokeOnTrentLive reported that police seized off-road bikes and electric scooters that were wrecking a popular course in Staffordshire.
The 18-hole layout at Burslem Golf Course has been a target of thugs for the last decade, forcing several members to quit.
“On Sunday, electric off-road bikes and scooters damaged the course, resulting in repair costs, loss of revenue, and the resignation of disgruntled golfers, leading to tens of thousands of pounds in accumulated costs,” said club secretary David Munro.
“This ongoing problem has cost our small inner-city golf and community hub hundreds of thousands of pounds over the last decade.”
