The USA and International teams will renew their rivalry in 2026 – but where? Here is a full rundown of Presidents Cup venues – past, present and future – and a closer look at this year’s course.
The 2024 clash was the 16th between the sides, with Jim Furyk leading the Americans to a remarkable 10th victory in a row. His counterpart, Mike Weir, couldn’t prevent that milestone despite his Internationals side playing in his native Canada.

The 2026 venue
The 2026 Presidents Cup will be played at Medinah Country Club.
A private club in Illinois, Medinah has three golf courses but is most famously known for its Course 3, which has hosted five major championships and the 2012 Ryder Cup.
It opened in 1928, shortly after the club was founded in 1924 by the Medinah Shriners – an American Masonic society.
Whilst the three courses were under construction, Richard G. Schmid, a Shriner and charter member of the club, designed the clubhouse – a mosque-evoking Moroccan domed building topped with minarets.
The Presidents Cup, meanwhile, will take place on the famed third course. Tom Bendelow originally designed the trio, but the main attraction went under the knife in 1986 and again ahead of the 2006 PGA Championship.
Team USA could do worse than have Tiger Woods involved for the match, as the 15-time major champion won both editions of the PGA Championship at Medinah.
The course was extended before his second success, which, at the time, made it the longest golf course in major championship history.
