The DP World Tour heads back to Qatar for the latest leg of its International Swing.

The Commercial Bank Qatar Masters is back on the schedule in 2025, the 28th edition of the tournament on the formerly known European Tour.

At last year’s event, Japan’s Rikuya Hoshino claimed the title, posting a final round 68 to edge out France’s Ugo Coussaud by one shot on 14 under par.

Hoshino showed the kind of platform this event can be after going on to finish 16th in the 2024 Race to Dubai and going on to earn dual membership on the PGA Tour this season.

This $2.5million tournament has quite the list of former champions. Major champions Adam Scott, Ernie Els and Sergio Garcia have all won in Qatar.

At this stage in the calendar, the event struggles to attract the same calibre of names it once did, particularly after many of the top players will have finished a long run in the Middle East in Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and Bahrain.

But that also provides an opportunity for another emerging star to break through.

This year, the field will include DP World Tour winners Laurie Canter, Ewen Ferguson, Dan Bradbury, Marcel Siem and Angel Hidalgo.

Canter, of course, arrives in Qatar fresh off his second DP World Tour victory in Bahrain and is favourite to go back-to-back in Doha.

Here is everything you need to know about the 2025 Qatar Masters…

The bunkered bet

Pablo Larrazabal 70/1

Yes, Larrazabal suffered heartbreak with his playoff defeat to Canter in Bahrain, but let’s not forget how well he was playing before that bogey on the 72nd hole. The Spaniard is made of stern stuff and will be out to respond this week. He’s fared well in Doha previously, too, finishing inside the top 25 in his past three starts.
