The DP World Tour’s Middle East swing wrapped up in Doha and it was an emotional win for one man.

China’s Haoting Li, who previously considered quitting the game, won his fourth title on the Wentworth-based circuit at the Qatar Masters.

With a dramatic birdie on the final hole, it was the 29-year-old’s first in three years and arrived nine years after winning his maiden title on home soil in 2016.

Li earned just over €400,000 for the one-shot triumph, while last year’s Challenge Tour table topper Rasmus Neergaard Petersen continued his fine start to life on the main tour.

The Dane finished second and walked away with just north of €260,000.
