After the LIV Golf Promotions event in Riyadh last week, it’s back to the drawing board for many.

It only awarded one player, Lee Chieh-Po, with full playing privileges on the Saudi-backed circuit for 2025.

That left former Ryder Cup stars, tour winners and even ex-LIV stars to reconsider their plans for next season.

And one of those was Kieran Vincent, who finished ten strokes behind the eventual winner after being relegated from LIV just a few months ago.

He was part of Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII side that finished second in the team standings and claimed four team titles.

Vincent, however, could only muster a 54th place finish on the individual standings and his personal highlight was a T18 effort at LIV Golf Nashville.

The Zimbabwean joined the startup circuit this time last year, when claiming one of three places made available through the Promotions event.

And ahead of the final round, he made his intentions clear on hoping to return.

“Obviously we want to be back there,” Vincent said. “We try and do everything we can. That’s the reason we’re here, to try and be back in that situation again.

“I think just the longevity of your career and the longevity of everything, like if we miss it this year, it’s not going to stop me from still playing golf.

“I’m still going to try and compete at the highest level, still try to do the best I can every time I tee it up, so it’s going to be no different tomorrow or going forward.”

While a finish inside the top ten earned Vincent his card on the International Series next year, he has decided to give the DP World Tour a crack.

The 27-year-old will make his debut on the Wentworth-based tour this week at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, playing via the ‘National spots’ category.

Mont Choisy Le Golf will host the final event of the ‘Opening Swing’ but defending champion – and fellow LIV golfer – Louis Oosthuizen has skipped it.

Meanwhile, Angel Ayora, who reportedly turned down LIV Golf, will make his fourth DP World Tour start of the season.
