Greg Norman and his wife are being sued by a high school student who says she was sexually assaulted at their Florida home by two boys during an alcohol-fuelled party.

The Daily Mail claims that the LIV Golf CEO and his wife, Kirsten Kutner, were hit with a lawsuit in March.

It alleges that, in September 2021, Kutner’s teenage daughter hosted a pool party at their Palm Beach Gardens mansion in for her Oxbridge Academy classmates and other local teens.

The girl who filed the suit and her parents allege that she was served alcohol by Kutner before other guests arrived. It goes on to state that she became “incapable of standing on her own and was seen stumbling around the party.”

It is alleged that the girl was then sexually assaulted on the grass next to the pool by two boys who had also been drinking at the party.

The suit claims that Norman and Kutner failed to ensure the girl’s “safety, wellbeing and sobriety”. She is seeking unspecified damages for “pain, suffering, mental anguish and loss of enjoyment.”

The news of the suit comes little over a week after Norman’s future at LIV Golf was thrown into fresh doubt following news that the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia – which bankrolls the LIV – intends to merge its commercial operations with the PGA Tour and DP World Tour.

Norman’s name was conspicuous by its absence from a press release announcing the shock truce.

The two-time Open champion, 68, was announced as the CEO of LIV Golf Investments in October 2021, just eight months before the new organisation staged its first event at the Centurion Club near London.

Since then, the Australian has found himself at the centre of the biggest corporate battle in the sport’s history, routinely drawing sharp criticism from a variety of figures, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy amongst them.
