You know what you’re going to get from Robert MacIntyre.
While the Oban man wears his heart on his sleeve, sometimes he has to let it all out.
And, as he says, not for the first time, MacIntyre has issued an apology for swearing on the golf course.
The Scot is in Amgen Irish Open action this week at Royal County Down, and the stunning venue in Northern Ireland has tested him.

“I do this at least once a year,” MacIntyre wrote on X. “I am sorry for the swearing on course but guess what am not gonna change I play golf with heart and fight.”
He signed off: “Thank you, Bob.”

Sky Sports cameras caught the 28-year-old in the act during Thursday’s first round after he suffered a nightmare on the 15th tee.
Standing over the 468-yard par-4, MacIntyre pulled out 3-wood and appeared to thin his ball no more than 150 yards.
He was forced to peg up a provisional in the company of Shane Lowry and Ryan Fox.
“Oh my god, Bob,” he said after the initial tee shot. “F*** sake, too much going on, man. Step away and do it again.
“I was f*****g all over the shop standing over that.”
Probably the most I’ve ever been able to relate to a Bob Mac shot. Thinned 147 yards and unfindable in the thick stuff. 🫣 pic.twitter.com/hOCkydW88c

MacIntyre carded a seven but bounced back with birdies on 16 and 17 before firing a one-under-par 70 on day two.
It leaves him in the red figures and inside the top 20 heading into the weekend in Newcastle.
The X-rated outburst wasn’t his first, as a previous rant left Sky Sports commentator and fellow countryman Andrew Coltart apologising to viewers earlier in the round.

Bob will be Bob.
