Robot Golf game looks totally BONKERS!

100FT ROBOT GOLF | PLAYSTATION 4

Robots and golf. It’s a bizarre combination, but not quite as bizarre as you may think.

For example, remember the robot that got a hole-in-one (below) at this year’s Waste Management Phoenix Open? And how about the RoboGolfPro, a new machine that shows you the perfect swing for your ability and physique.

However, when it comes to this new video game, we’re not so sure – as it looks totally bonkers. 100ft Robot Golf is exactly what the name suggests – you control a 100ft robot while trying to play golf.

Released on the PlayStation 4 on October 10 by developer No Goblin, as you can imagine 100ft Robot Golf is far from the regimented, tournament style of golf of Rory McIlroy PGA Tour (although you may be able to play more courses without being charged extra!).

It’s barely even about trying to get pars and birdies though, either. Controlling a massive robot, the game emphasises destruction as much as it does keeping your score low, with the ability to smash even the tallest of buildings out of the way or into you robot golfing friends.

It supports four-player online or local co-op, and the PlayStation website adds that you can ‘experience the excitement, romance, and thrills of controlling 100ft of raw golfing power through some of the cheapest 90s-inspired mecha animation ever committed to screen’.

I’m not sure about you, but I think I’ll stick with Rory McIlroy PGA Tour…
