If you ever needed any more proof of how awesome Rory McIlroy is, then this is surely it.


Just days after took a grilling from a little kid about his ex-fiancee Caroline Wozniacki and other topics all in good humour as part of the European Tour’s ‘Little Interviews’ series, the 27-year-old once again showed what an excellent ambassador he is for the sport.

Rewind two months to the Tour Championship and you’ll remember the Northern Irishman making eagle at the 16th hole (below) and launching his ball into the stands as he roared to FedEx Cup glory.

That ball ended up with a young spectator and, in a picture posted to Twitter by ESPN senior golf writer Jason Sobel, McIlroy didn’t just stop giving there. Check out this letter.
