EA Sports has announced that Rory McIlroy PGA Tour will be released on July 14, the same week as the 144th Open Championship at St Andrews.

The game, which will be available on PS4 and Xbox One, was due to be out at some point in June but has been put back to allow EA Sports to ‘deliver a fully-featured online offering including online tournaments’.

The latest news also includes a video showing the three gameplay features of the game; Arcade, Classic and Tour, with further screenshots also released.

Jordan Spieth was revealed earlier this week as a featured player on the game, which features courses such as TPC Sawgrass and Wolf Creek.

However, after the end of a licensing agreement, Augusta National and the Masters tournament won’t be on the game, although EA Sports have refused to rule out the possibility of it becoming downloadable content somewhere down the line.
